Green Drinks Calgary is an open-format monthly event for those interested in the environment to network and socialize.
This year, good conversations are now matched with good food and drink, courtesy of our new venue, The District (http://www.enjoydistrict.com).
The District is a new gastro pub located in Calgary's design district that sources locally for much of their food or drink. They will also be providing some specials for those who attend.
We have also paired good food and drink with good people as we often feature local people doing good for the environment in Calgary. The "eco-celebrities" for this month are:
Emmy Stuebing of the Alberta Emerald Foundation will be on hand to encourage people to nominate themselves or others for the Alberta Emerald Awards.
Gael Blackhall of Calgary Community Gardens Resources Network
Alla Guelber of Alberta Acts on Climate Change
Greg Powell of Pembina Institute
David Crowe of Alberta Greens
Brenna Atnikov of Thrive Calgary
Adrian Buckley of Big Sky Permaculture
Chris Turner, Author of "The Geography of Hope"
120 people have already confirmed for the event on Jan. 19th. For more info on our event series and our eco-celebrities (including links to their web sites), go to http://greendrinkscalgary.ca.
