The 11th San Francisco Independent Film Festival kicks off Feb 5 with the local premiere of SOMERS TOWN, a great new film by THIS IS ENGLAND's Shane Meadows. Opening wide later this year, you can expect this film to be talked about as an Oscar contender next winter! The after party that follows at CellSpace features performances by DJ Toph One, Live Evil and The Extra Action Marching Band! The party is sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and catered by Whole Foods Markets. There are film and party tickets as well as party only tix, so please join us as we kick off another SF IndieFest!
The Festival this years feature a wide variety of films. We have a film on art cars, some Japanese art porn, great midnight movies, powerful local features, and creepy kids, zombies, Star Wars fans, teen angst, English schoolboys, insane Belgian musicians, circus animals and more!
Plus a whole bunch of parties. Our 6th annual Big Lebowski Party is on Feb 7, the rockin Roller Disco party we put on with Black Rock Roller Disco is Feb 13, and we wrap the festival up with a GREASE themed party called The Rydell High Sock Hop.
