Hosted by Mayor and Mrs. Richard M. Daley, the evening celebrates the Mayor's favorite holiday by featuring Halloween-themed cocktails, followed by a sumptuous seated dinner, dancing, performances and more. The entire Cultural Center building is adorned with an array of Halloween decorations like haystacks, pumpkins, spider webs, and gargoyles. The evening's attire is costume or black tie. The Halloween Ball benefits the Chicago Cultural Center, a dynamic and diverse landmark building which is one of the most comprehensive free arts showcases in the United States. The Chicago Cultural Center Foundation is dedicated to preserving and enhancing this cherished building where the arts are nurtured free of charge.
