Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden is honoured to host the 10th Anniversary Conference of EAZA Zoohorticultural Group in May. The running projects on botanical development in our zoo hopefully will give a proof of the fact that we are not just a zoo of ideas but also a zoo of practice. These projects throughout the zoo are directly proportional to our aim, to provide a greener, richer and even more natural botanical collection due to the plant conservation initiatives.

During your stay you can get acquainted with the first two rhinos born after artificial insemination, a nicest Hagenbeck style artificial rock structure and other beautiful monuments of zoo history or, during the tours, the unique flora and fauna of the Puszta grassland in Eastern Hungary, the beauty of the hills and beech woods in the Bükk National Park, and also the most exclusive plant collection of the country in Vácrátót Botanical Garden.
