Brooklyn Botanic Garden presents a Garden-wide exhibition entitled '100 Years, 100 Stories' as a centerpiece of its centennial year. In addition to tracing the institution's history, the exhibition features the personal stories, photographs and memorabilia of ordinary New Yorkers who have visited, volunteered for, and worked for the Garden over the course of a century. Many of the photographs and personal stories on view were submitted via Flickr or brought in for scanning by BBG, with interactive community participation playing an important role. 100 Years, 100 Stories overflows from the Steinhardt Conservatory Gallery onto the Garden grounds, with photographs and stories posted along walking paths and interwoven throughout BBG's 52 acres, both highlighting memorable personal occasions, as well as moments of historical significance for the Garden.
