For Beginning and Professional Actors
This class is for everyone! The Ten Session Intensive is designed for people from a wide range of backgrounds; non-actors, beginning actors and professional actors.
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for individuals from all walks of life to explore the world of theater and to develop the untapped, hidden, intuitive abilities that lie dormant within you, and apply them to your daily life and career. It also allows professional actors to revisit the fundamentals in order to deepen and strengthen your craft and find a deeper level of freedom and creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
All students study directly with award-winning actor and director, Thurman E. Scott.
Classes are semi-private. Each student receives individualized attention that will allow them to move to the next level of their creative development. Class members benefit greatly from studying with students from various levels of development. Very often people new to acting will ask seemingly simple questions that an experienced actor would not dare to ask because they feel they should already know the answer, but it addresses the very issues they are struggling with.
All ten classes take place at 145 West 28th Street in the Actors Theatre Workshop's intimate, professional theater facility. Classes are approximately 4 hours depending on the nature of the work of each session and conveniently meet on Sundays from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
Due to the number of applicants, we highly recommend you submit your application as soon as possible.
